Central Auckland is a hub of urban delights set against beautiful coastal scenery. It’s not hard to see why this is regarded as one of the most liveable cities in the world.

We begin our tour and head out from Central Auckland to explore the country's fertile heartland, showcasing farmland, lush forests, rugged mountains, and steep gorges.

4.45pm Coach transfer from Millennium Hotel to Te Puia.

Te Puia offers a cultural experience that combines dramatic performances – singing, dancing and haka (war dances) – with delicious M?ori food and includes viewing a geothermal geyser.

8.30pm Return to Millennium Hotel, Rotorua

 

Friday 6th March

9.00am

Depart Millennium Hotel Rotorua

Visit Kairuru Hereford Stud

Visit Huka Falls where New Zealand’s longest river, the Waikato, is squeezed through a ravine of hard volcanic rock. Watch 220,000 litres of water blast by every second.

Free time to explore the town of Taupo which sits at the edge of Australasia's largest lake. Beautiful Lake Taup? is actually a huge volcano with a fiery history.  Explore the waterfront cafes and bars for own lunch arrangements.

 

 

4.00pm

Hawke’s Bay is New Zealand’s second-largest wine region. producing sophisticated, concentrated reds and weighty, finely-structured chardonnays.

Napier is famous as one of the most complete collections of Art Deco buildings in the world with street after street of stunning and beautifully-restored Art Deco buildings

Otapawa Hereford Stud

The Wairarapa is a delightful mix of wineries, antiques, food and historic charm.
